    • Howard Peters was born Aug. 22, 1910, at Mayetta, Kansas and lived in Topeka many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Orient Lodge No. 51, AF & AM, in Topeka.

      He and his wife, Irene Talty Peters lived in the Kansas City area 11 years. She survives.

      Other survivors include two sons, John Peters, Dallas, and Jerry Peters, with the Air Force in Thailand; his stepmother, Mrs. Daisy Peters, Mayetta; two brothers, Clyde Peters, Oklahoma City and Charles Peters, Memphis; and three grandchildren.

      Services were held at Mellody-McGilly-Eylar's Midtown Funeral Home at Kansas City. Graveside services were held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Topeka.
