    • Harold Foil Jr., 88, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday. He was born November 16, 1924, to Harold Millington and Beatrice Mae Foil in Utica, NY. Harold moved to Liverpool in the '40s. He met his future wife, Beulah V. Warren, at G.E. in Liverpool, where they were both working. They were married July 1, 1950.

      Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a radar technician during WW II and the Korean War.

      He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Liverpool-Syracuse Lodge #501. For many years he served as an instructor for several merit badges with the area Boy Scouts.

      He was predeceased by his wife, Beulah, in 2011.

      Surviving are his loving children: daughter Darlene Bentley (Gary) of Sellersville, PA, and sons Bradley (Susan) of North Syracuse and Randal (Frances) of Byron, GA; brother, Charles (Connie) of Whitesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. A Masonic service will be held 1:45 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Burial with military honors will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango.

      Calling hours will be noon to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.

      Contributions may be made to Emeritus at Westside Manor, 4055 Long Branch Road, Liverpool, NY 13090 or the Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleeker St., Utica, NY 13501, Attn: Administration.
