    • Mrs. Nelle Colquitt Casey, age 90, of Cedartown passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2007. She was born October 1, 1916 in Cedartown, Georgia.

      Mrs. Nelle Casey is preceded in death by parents, John T. Colquitt and Annie Lydelle West Colquitt; husband, Manley Casey, Sr.; son, Frank Casey; granddaughter, Michelle Casey; brothers, Joe Colquitt, Sr. and John Colquitt.

      Mrs. Nelle Colquitt Casey is survived by sons, Manley Casey, Jr., John Casey, Mike Casey, Roy Casey, and Ray Casey; daughters, Sara Stanley of Calhoun, Georgia and Nolie Forrister of Rockmart, Georgia; sisters, Catherine Shackelford, Elizabeth Godwin, Sara Wray, and Ruth Owens. Seventeen Grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.

      The family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.

      The funeral service for Mrs. Nelle Colquitt Casey will be conducted on Saturday, May 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Collard Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Beck officiating. Mrs. Casey will lie in state at the church one prior to the funeral service.

      The interment service will follow at the family lot at Northview Cemetery.

      Pallbearers are Mrs. Casey?s grandsons. Honorary pallbearer is Johnny Colquitt.

      The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Nelle Colquitt Casey.
