    • William Adam Staehle, Jr., age 77 years, beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle to many, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at his home in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

      Mr. Staehle was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He then returned to New Orleans to marry and raise his family. He was owner and operator of the Royal Broom and Mop Factory, Inc. for many years.

      William was a former member of Optimist Club, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and past king of Hermes Carnival Club. He was a member Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Mr. Staehle was a Veteran serving in the United States Navy during World War II.

      William is preceded in death by his parents, William Adam Staehle, Sr. and Rosalie Ethel Sporl; and his first wife, Joyce Rabe Staehle (1933-1985); one sister Billie Tudury, and a brother, Louis Staehle.

      He is survived by his wife, Bobbye Boyd Staehle of Bay St. Louis; his children, William A. Staehle, III, and his wife Mary of Marrero, LA, Janice Staehle Casey and her husband Wendell of Metairie, LA, Patricia Staehle Striegel and her husband William of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Donald Rabe Staehle and his wife Corey of Metairie, Louisiana, and step children, LaNell B. Waller and her husband Bobby of Warner Robins, Georgia, Robby Boyd and his wife Lisa of Henderson, NV and Barbara Miramon and her husband Mike of Slidell, LA. brothers and sisters, Marie Autenreith of Bay St. Louis, MS, Georgia Williams of Waveland, MS and Charles Staehle of Bay St. Louis, MS. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Adam, Ryan and Katie Staehle, Anna and Kevin Casey, Timothy and Allison Striegel, and Alice Staehle, also Sarah, Lauren, and Luke Waller, Stephen and Michael Boyd, and Lindsey and Rylie Miramon.

      There will be a visitation for family and friends at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home on Thursday, December 11, 2003 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 8:00 p.m. On Friday, December 12, 2003 there will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans, LA with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, Louisiana.

      Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
