- Carol Boone Colston, age 91, of East Dublin, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017.
Mrs. Colston retired from J.P. Steven after 35 years of service, and was a charter LPN with Southland Care. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was a part of the Billie Page Sunday School Class. She enjoyed traveling with the Road Runners and was a charter member of the Boot Scooter?s Line Dancers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery and Lucille Keene Boone; husband, James Colston; daughter, Mary Faye Hatcher; son-in-law, Carmen Hatcher; sister, Canoye Mercer; brother, Nelson Boone; brother-in-law, J.L. Mercer, sisters in law; Eudell Boone, Joyce Boone, and Joanne Boone.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelba Dominy Reeves (David), of East Dublin; son, David Terone Colston, of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Harriett Hatcher, of Florida; grandchildren, Billy Clark (Shannon), of Dublin, Jason Clark (Jolie), of Jeffersonville, Charles Carson Clark, of Dublin, and Christina Beacham (Steven), of Dublin; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Faye Boone Brinson (David Perry), of Dublin; brothers, Delma Boone, (Breanna) of Warner Robins and Dean Boone, of Thompson; several nieces and nephews, and very special friend, Carol Stringer (Jay), of Florida.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Matt Haywood and Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Billy Clark, Jason Clark, Charles Clark, Clinton Hatcher, Steven Beacham and Joey Knight. Honorary pallbearer will be Harold Peavey, Jimmy Passmore, Deacons of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and members of the Billie Page Sunday School Class.
